
English is the standard language of instruction. With the approval of the Area Learning Center Faculty, students may be permitted to do all or part of their work in other languages.

The Area Learning Center Associate Dean will appoint a Supervisory Professor for each student. The Supervisory Professor shall approve the student’s courses of study at registration time and guide the student in the preparation of his or her research prospectus and thesis or dissertation, with the exception of the preparation of the D.Min. project thesis which shall be guided by a Field Supervisor.
The following grading system is used for all courses:
A (3.0 grade points)
A- (2.7 grade points)
B+ (2.3 grade points)
B (2.0 grade points)
B- (1.7 grade points)
C+ (1.3 grade points)
C (1.0 grade points)At least a 2.0 average is required for graduation.

For each hour of seminar class work, at least three hours of supervised research outside of class is required. Students may be required to submit a report on time spent in research.

When students complete all of the requirements, a degree will be conferred after recommendation of the faculty of the ABGTS ALC where they have been enrolled and approved by the Dean and the President. If students studying in a foreign country find it necessary to return to their home country before completion of all requirements for graduation, the degree may be conferred by special arrangement.
