The quest for identifying an effective pastor is a subject largely discussed in the theological world. Indeed, many factors are to be considered in finding one. It is also dependent on a particular context. This research made its own criteria of effectiveness based on many precedents and examples. It centered on the five main criteria of pastoral leadership, namely: pastoral discipline, pastoral equipping, pastoral calling, pastoral ministry in context, pastoral teaching, and pastoral preaching/communication.
